Kuala Lumpur, 26 October 2018. Continental Tyre Malaysia (“CTM”) today received the prestigious Putra Brand Award 2018 as a sought-after brand of choice in Malaysia.
Launched in 2010 in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), the award, also known as the “People’s Choice Award”, recognises Malaysia’s favourite brands based on public interviews and votes.
Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), the Putra Brand Awards is the only brand awards in the country endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialists Association (MSA).
CTM was selected as winner for the Automotive – Fuel, Lubricants and Accessories category as a result from the research of brand choice conducted by global market research and consulting firm Ipsos; the largest brand research sample in Malaysia with over 7,000 interviews.
CTM’s Head of Marketing, Passenger, Light Truck and Truck Tyres (PLT & TT) for Replacement Market Malaysia, Jeanne Chia said at the Putra Brand Awards Gala Night 2018, “We are delighted to receive this award as an attestment to the growing trust by our Malaysian consumers to the brand which entered the market in 2003. Continental believes in this brand philosophy of ‘When Everything Counts’ – the German Technology that goes into the products to deliver in safety and quality, and ultimately the consumer experience that goes with it”.
“Continental strives to promote ‘value creation’ – for its consumers, business partners and stakeholders while building its brand presence. We are therefore honoured to be selected by our consumers and thank them for their unwavering support,” Chia added.
